To recognize the outstanding achievements and high potential of women who aspire to enter the field of accounting and finance, the Grand Rapids chapter of AFWA proudly hosts an annual scholarship competition. Scholarships are available to female students pursuing undergraduate degrees in accounting or finance who attend a local college or university.

The 2026-2027 AFWA scholarship application period will open in Spring of 2026.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2025 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

Hermione Shupick will be a junior this fall at Grand Valley State University. She is majoring in finance and business economics. Hermione is currently part of the Delta Zeta sorority and has served as the alumni relations chair. In the future, Hermione plans to become a financial advisor and follow in the footsteps of her father.
